A Few Words About Me

 

My autoimmune struggles began early in my life, in elementary school. Through this journey, I became slowly more drawn to improving what I could daily, Throughout high school, the only solution was the pills I had been taking for years. I unconsciously began to look for other ways to care for myself. Slow and steady was the name of the game. In High School I stopped drinking soda (radical!) and found how bloated and awful the carbonation actually made me feel. I tried to choose healthier pizza toppings (that's right, start where you're at!), I hated all fish. But I had learned enough to give it another try. I started trying a few bites of fish once a week. Did i dip that fish stick in a ton of ketchup the first few weeks? Oh yes I did. Did I discover I liked fish in less than a year? Yes I did. This is the same patience and dedication I extend to you. I am particularly passionate about empowering you to take control of yourself and your family's well-being from backyard farm to table. Start small, start imperfect, but start with a sincere heart and open mind!

I chose Health Coaching at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition because of its holistic understanding of health. I'm a member of The Bionutrient Food Association and support their mission to make the nutritional density of food easily detectable and incentivize the entire food supply chain to focus on nutritional value. I use these methods with yard, garden, and in-home plant care.  I was drawn to certification in Gravity Yoga by YOGABODY® due to its unusual characteristics. It's slow, but intense, not meant to look a certain way, the path in the pose is your own with little to no flexing.
